What You'll Learn in Our Winter Break Camp

Taekwondo is much more than a physical sport; it is a form of martial arts that helps build a stronger body and mind. Your child will learn age-appropriate self-defense techniques and martial arts moves that improve strength, stamina, coordination, and balance.

Pursuing martial arts is a workout for the mind, too. It enhances one’s ability to focus, concentrate, remain alert, and build confidence. As children accomplish new belts and pursue higher levels in Taekwondo, they will feel a sense of accomplishment. This feeling will show them that set goals can be achieved with determination and perseverance.

The benefits of both physical and cognitive attributes will resonate throughout their daily life, manifesting as a positive relationship with fitness and improved focus in challenging environments, such as school.

The Benefits of Winter Break Camp

Why enroll your child in our winter break camp? Attending a camp over the holiday season enriches your child. Here are some of the benefits:

  • Burn energy: Kids need physical outlets to be able to be focused and calm the rest of the time. You might notice they are more energetic over the winter break unless they get the time they need to run around.
  • Supervision: Many families have work schedules that conflict with winter break. Leaving children unsupervised can be a recipe for trouble. When they attend winter break camp instead, you know that they are in a safe environment.
  • Physical skills: Taekwondo teaches many important physical skills for developing children, including strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, and more. It can also teach them the joy of movement and help instill strong health habits.
  • Socialization: Your kid likely knows everyone at school, so it can be hard to practice basic social skills like making new friends and relating to new people. The new environment at winter break camp can help.

Our Winter Break Day Camp Offers a Daily Dose of Activity

The CDC recommends that children, aged 6 to 17, get a minimum of 60 minutes of physical exercise every day. However, as the temperature drops in winter, it can be difficult for children to spend time being active outdoors. With the help of the right winter day camp, this challenge can be relieved instantly.

Our martial arts day camp over the winter break will give your child a constructive outlet for their energy. Instead of spending their time inside stagnantly, we will engage them in fun team activities, educational lessons, and fun games to get them up and moving.
